September 14th 2010 (20 weeks)

Thursday September 9th-
Well we went to the Dr and found out some good news and some bad.
Good news first- Braden looks great! besides having a big head ranking in the 93rd percentile, he looks perfect! His heart has all four chambers and he has all 10 fingers and 10 toes. No markers for any kind of chromosomal abnormalities and his heartbeat is around 144bpm.
Now the bad news- I was diagnosed with placenta previa. Basically this means that my placenta is lying low and covers the cervix. It does have a chance of migrating but as of now it is covering almost 100% of my cervical opening so that means not so much of a chance of migrating. If it continues to stay low I may be put on bedrest and more than likely am going to have to have a Csection. There is always the possibility of hemorrhaging before or after having baby Braden.
My biggest concern is having to be on bedrest. I have a friend that was on bedrest for 16 weeks. I know if its for the safety of baby and myself I would definitely be ok with that. 16 weeks seems like a lifetime! I just want baby to be healthy and not have any complications. So far I am feeling great and no contractions or bleeding yet. Just taking it one day at a time. I am so thankful for this precious gift and will do whatever it takes to have a safe delivery, even if it means 16 weeks of bedrest and a csect. =)

Above are some pictures of baby at 19.5 weeks

baby room

Today is the day I'm going to get my butt in gear and start on the baby room..... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN....... Right now the room is being used as a "storage room/ Trent's closet". I'm going to have to go through my closet and sort out clothes to go to good will and those to go in the attic so Trent can have some room for his stuff. I kinda took over the closet from the beginning. We decided to do Bradens room in Sports fan stuff from cocoalo or however it's spelled. Its a cute theme that seems "boyish" enough for daddy. It was either that or construction because the animal print I had pick out was too girly for our little man. So as you can see I am procrastinating cleaning/redoing that room. My amish bread is in the oven and MAN it smells GOOOOOD. Those Amish know what they are doing when it comes to food I tell you. Anyways, not a lot of interesting stuff going on here so I guess I'll get to work!

Aug 20, 2010

Braden,
Today your dad and I found out you are a BOY! it brought us SO much joy we both started crying. Your memaw vickie and BB and Big B were there. Not sure what you are going to call them, but whatever you choose will be okay with us! You are such a little miracle. Daddy and I prayed so very hard for you and you are getting closer to coming into this world. The world you are going to come into can be a cruel cruel world but I promise you I will do my best to protect you. Your daddy is so excited because he was so close to his dad. His dad is no longer here with us. Your daddy is going to be your wing man! You should have seen his face when he saw he was getting a boy! It was priceless. We already are SO in love with you! I can't imagine how spoiled you are going to be when you finally get here to us. I can't wait to see your little face. You were making the cutest faces on the ultrasound. Even BB cried when she saw your dad and I get emotional. You have no idea how you have already changed our lives and we are so happy. I love you little man.
Love,
Mommy

Welcome

I decided to start a blog all about baby Braden. The purpose is mainly so Braden can look back when he is older and see how much his mommy and daddy have loved him from the very beginning. We are so very blessed to have 2 beautiful girls and one little prince on the way. Just a warning I am so very obsessed with baby and everything about him so get ready to be indulged with everything baby if you choose to continue to read. And if you do... I hope this blog brings you as much joy as it brings me to write about it. Thanks for visiting!
